Sony Vue even though I am starting to think that's not cutting the cord.

No contract. But I get what you're saying.

But you can get Sony Vie for less than you pay for rent on the cable boxes and dvr.

No contract with cable TV either.

You don't officially cut the cable until you get rid of internet.

It's a figurative cord/cable, don't pretend ignorance.

I agree. You are still connected to the figurative cable with internet.

Not much if you can get a good deal from Cox.

What's your problem? Why are you being obtuse? Of course we still need the fricking internet. Cordcutting is about not paying for shite we don't want.

Quit arguing over the semantics of the terminology.

True, but you also lose anything except stereo sound. No DD5.1

I called AT&T U-verse to cut TV and just keep internet/phone. They gave me Direct TV for basically nothing. In the end, it is $7 more than what I tallied up for PS Vue. Locked in for two years, so I'll burn that bridge when I got there. Oh, they bumped up my internet speed too and I have unlimited internet data usage. It also doesn't use cell data when I am watching the Direct TV app.
