I bought a z-wave switch for my fan. It synced with Smartthings and I was able to control it with Alexa. 3 days ago it starting showing as "unavailable". The other switch for light is working fine. I can't find anything that addresses this issue. Question is, should I try to remove it and re add? I tried the repair z-wave option on Smartthings app but I get an error that it can't repair mesh system.

not sure if this helps but every zwave device i have has been rock solid. i cant remember any of them going offline unless they were literally at the edge of range or i dropped something metal in front of the switch.

zigbee on the other hand..aii yi yi. shite is flakey as hell.

so questions
1. is this an in-wall switch?
2. if not did you move it recently?
3. how far from the hub?
4. is it possible something change between the switch and the hub? my zwave pool switch is about 150' away from my hub and if i ever accidently leave a pool pole on the wall in front of it, it goes offline. check for anything that could be interfering with it.
5. call smartthings and have them walk you through the zwave exclusion/inclusion steps. it varies by manuf.
6. what is the brand of the switch?
