I know that you can only view one stream with Sling, but what I've learned, and correct me if i'm wrong, if I use slingtv as my provider for WatchESPN app, when I watch WatchESPN, that counts as my one Slingtv stream and doesnt' allow me to watch Sling on another tv?

I'm also seeing that Slingtv isn't a provider login for the Disney apps to watch their shows on their app. They don't have Nick channels either for that programming. For the kids of course.

Slingtv is a great idea, but if they don't start making some simple changes they are going to get left behind real quick, hearing there are other services coming out this summer.

I'd love to move over to Vue but I've already got 3 Roku's and an Android tv, and don't want to go out and buy a bunch of FireTV's just for Vue.

I see a question mark, but maybe I missed the question

ETA: If the question is does watching ESPN with my creds count as my one stream, I would think that you could answer that faster than anyone here...

1) Correct, you can use your SlingTV credentials for the WatchESPN app. This is what I do on my AppleTV4 that doesn't have a native SlingTV app.
2) Yes, it DOES count as your 1 used account. So you can NOT use those credentials on your WatchESPN app AND watch the SlingTV app on your phone, for instance.

Sling has a beta that's available with fox sports that allows you 3 streams. You just can't get espn with it yet. I already emailed them and they are working on it.

Glad you at least can get it to work without lag and freezing. I really wanted to like it and didn't mind that it was behind by a couple of seconds. However, it froze too much to make sports watchable

Once football season starts, Sling will die.

Vue will crush Sling.

Quality is substantially better. However, I'll still need to see that substantial quality once they have a pile of accounts.

If football season looks as good as my test, I will bury Sling for good.

Use the watchespn app.

Not to mention Vue doesn't have SEC network or even espn3. Na sling rapes vue to me.

Agreed, but I think it will happen even sooner than that. Once the Vue app debuts for the Roku, Sling is going to really start feeling the pressure.

Yes it does have SECN, and you can use it to login to WatchESPN to watch everything.
You also don't need any credentials to watch something on ESPN3, that isnt' on one of the main network channels.

Vue has SEC Network

Sling has an ESPN3 channel on it's UI guide?

Could this be an issue with your internet service provider speeds? Not looking to argue, but I have never experienced these lags on any Sling provided channel. I'm new to the cord cutting so I'm always looking for insights.

I have had very few issues with sling freezing, and again, I use watchespn for sports not sling.

The only sports I watch on sling is NBA on TNT, and had zero problems. I'm hard wired in. 100Mb cox internet.

I watch sports on sling and if it isn't on sling I use ESPN. I don't have freezing issues, but I am with Eatel and my speeds are pretty good. The majority of the time I watch the Outside network. Adventure sports, etc. I only watch ESPN if LSU is on.

You should watch ESPN when Bama is on. Cheer for them, you'll be much happier!
I kid, I kid!
