I have uverse at 6 Mbps and even fails to work at busy times.
Comcast is an option

An AT&T guy came to my door last week offering At&t/direc-tv combo that included fiber optic Internet @ 45 MBps or 75 for more money. He scoffed when I told him I had 50 through Comcast and said that his was much faster because it was a "dedicated line" or some such.

I have Comcast and its expensive. I get 25 mb down for 80 something bucks a month. Neighbor just got uverse but he says its terrible.
My comcast will be slow around 3 pm to 7 pm almost everyday during the week. We truly don't have a great option.
