Should I wait on my Lilly drone ( late summer 2016)?

I preordered this thing almost eight months ago because they said I would get it in February. Now they are saying late summer (whatever that means) and I'm beginning to wonder if there is better technology out there.
For those that don't know, it is this
I think I paid $500 in the pre order. The ability for it to follow me while I surf, ski, bike, etc. is what i thought was so cool.
What are your opinions? Should I cancel and get something else?

I too looked into the Lilly, but decided to wait and see what actual users had to say about it. I know GoPro just announced their equivalent the Karma. Might want to check that out. It will have the advantages of being backed by an established company.
I haven't used it but DJI is pushing their follow Me mode.
