When we turn our tv on we get a green staticky screen with screaming white noise. The tv restarts itself after about 10 seconds and that usually fixes it. Anyone know what the problem might be/ how to fix?

I googled and the best answer I found was I need to replace the capacitors. Seems like a manageable fix if that's the problem.

You need to open the back and see if any capacitors are blown. If they are that's the problem.

If not, then most likely it's the video integrated circuit on the main board that controls the voltage level going to a coil on the other side of the board. You will need to remove the circuit and the little capacitor next to it and solder on new ones.

Either way, you'll need to open the back and do a basic troubleshoot (look at the capacitors are blown or if there are any other obvious problems)

If no capacitors are blown, watch this video and you can probably fix it yourself for under 40 bucks. LINK

My 2008 Samsung recently had the same problem, and it's only going to get worse until it stops working all together. I followed the video and fixed it. It's pretty easy.
