VR is going to be huge but everyone that hasn't tried it thinks it's a fad similar to 3D

It's amazing how little coverage the VR thing has gotten. People are still mostly unaware what is about to hit the market. Samsung's Gear VR is least among the ones coming out, and even IT is super amazing. Good money goes on Oculus or HTC Vive to become the success we need it to be to put VR into the non-niche bracket. Sony VR too just because of how accessible it will be since you won't need a computer.

VR is real, and it's coming this year. All we need to hope is that there aren't too many coming out to hurt the movement. We need at least ONE to truly survive.

Whatever you can imagine seeing visually, it will not disappoint... let me assure you on that. But yeah. tech board.

I've been searching online and they are $100? Is that right? Sounds cheap!

If you have pre-ordered a Galaxy S7 (or S7 Edge) you get a free Gear VR and $50 in VR content.

Hopefully I'll be picking mine up tomorrow

ETA: And watch for a bunch of cheap VRs to be popping on ebay when people who dont care sell their freebies.

I'm more than likely pre-ordering the S7 Edge, which gives me the option of a free Gear S2 watch or Geat VR. Planned to get the S2, but after reading some posts, it sounds like I need to test drive the Gear VR before pulling trigger...

You can also get a free year of Netflix from TMob on top. I've heard people say you can get a free wireless charger through Samsung Pay as well, not sure it TMob only but you should check into it.

The Samsung wireless charger is when you sign up for Samsung Pay only through March 10.

The S7 releases officially to the public the 11th, pre-order deals run through the 18th.

I've had mine for a while now. Pretty cool, but I don't use them much. Still trying to figure out how to download VR porn.

Maybe one day, but it will take a long time. The fact is you currently have to strap a TV to your face, and after 15 or 20 minutes they start feeling really heavy and not so comfortable.

The Samsung VR is limited by overheating issues. You probably won't get 20 minutes out of it before your phone overheats and you have to stop for a while.

And be wary if you are prone to motion sickness. It will definitely make you sick the first few times.

It is awesome. I was giggling like a school girl today in my living room testing it out, my wife thought I was an idiot. 5 minutes fricking around with it made me a believer. I'll test more out tomorrow.
