usb I think, would be a slow way to do it....correct me if I'm wrong...LINK
you'd need 2...but
somethin like this here , the 1st step to gettin it done a different way
LINK
you should already have a monitor OUT on the laptop...you'd just need this Y adapter and extra wire to add 2 monitors
perhaps someone else has a better way...

Before you decide on a USB solution, make sure there is no other way to do this with your laptop (e.g. via a VGA, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc. port on your laptop). USB solutions are not only significantly more expensive, but because USB isn't that fast, they also don't run very well compared to the video chip that exists in your laptop.
Basically, you will need to search Amazon or Monoprice or eBay or whatever for a USB DisplayLink adapter. The ones that retired trucker posted are DisplayLink adapters.
However, I _highly_ recommend using one that is USB 3.0, if your laptop is capable of USB 3.0. The USB 2.0 DisplayLink adapters are so slow that you can't use them to watch videos at all. The USB 3.0 ones are much better, but don't expect very much out of them graphics-wise except watching videos, using web browsers, using word processors, etc.

Thank you.
It is basic usage, so just hoping the USB 3.0 will work for what we need.
I appreciate the help.
