Not unhappy with TWC... just really ready for Google Fiber :)

I'm paying 49.99 for 30/5. They increased my price without warning one month and I complained and got another year at that price. I suspect I will get a speed increase for free shortly due to Google Fiber coming to the area.

Im 140 miles away from Newnan GA. Tallahassee is the next closet and its a bit slower.
I pay 92 for internet and X1 with HD and dvr, HBO and digital preferred. I really like it. Have a shitty Moto gateway surfboard combo. On wifi it slows way down to around 20. PS3 hard wired runs flawless really well for online games. Wii in the back of the house on wifi streams netflix pretty good though.
I own the modem/router. Should I bridge it to a better route or just get all new stuff?

i'm paying for 50 Mb/s but am on wifi. Wife is also streaming some stuff right now. Ive got the latest cable modem and router technologies. Should being on wifi really slow it down that much?
