Router issues

Have a tplink router,that just stopped working it is about 3 months old. It allows you to access it, but it doesn't allow connection to the internet. Tried their customer service. After 30 minutes with her try different ip addresses and turning it off and on, she said wait 15 minutes and call me back. That was when their hours ended.
Anyone have any knowledge how to trouble shoot connectivity.
I have tried several things with no real luck. Did see anything on the net that was helpful for my issue.
