I have a Roku premiere in living room and stream YoutubeTV. When I turn the app on, it picks up the prior channel that was playing. The issue is the picture is blurry and distorted as if it would be a buffer or some sort of odd interference issue.
Once I go to a different channel, the picture goes back to its normal clear self.

Anyone experience this?

I have Firesticks on other TVs in the house but that issue doesn’t present itself on those devices with YouTubeTV.

Again this is only when I turn the app on.

TIA

Nope, not just you. It does the same on my Apple TV 4K. Also, the black/dark backgrounds on every streaming channel and the on demand content always looks grainy and pixelated. I swapped over to FuboTV recently and the black backgrounds and dark/night scenes seem just fine.

Something is up with YouTube tv, for me, at least but sounds like others are experiencing similar issues.

Then it’s a YouTube tv bug issue because there are numerous reports for the below issues and the Apple TV 4K runs circles around anything firetv or tv manufacturer os in terms of performance.

1) Issues with dark black/night scenes
2) Issues where if you close to the Home Screen in say an Apple TV while watching ESPN, then later come back and launch the YTTV app, it tries to go back to the ESPN channel from where you were 6 hours ago. Then sometimes and tries to reload.
