I got an iPad Mini 2 and had been using a neoprene sleeve for a Kindle as a protective sleeve for awhile. It was always a stop gap but I loathe dropping cash on expensive accessories, even though I know I have to have them.

At any rate, I was on the market for a cover, a clear shell and a tempered glass cover for the face. Had I gone through Apple/Amazon, this combo would've cost me:

Apple Smart Cover for iPad Mini 2 - $39
Clear Back Case - iPad Mini 2 - $7.99
Tempered Glass Screen Protector - Prices vary but cheapest = $6.99

$54 for all three in total.

Instead, I took a flyer and did some searching around. I found SW Box. This place was pretty awesome. I found all three items and it set me back just over $19. That's 65% savings, shipping included.

So for $20, I figured what the heck. The only thing odd was that you didn't have to create an account in order to buy something and you couldn't really track your order without an account you didn't have to create. Once I went back and created the account, I realized you still can't track your package LOL.

They mention it takes 15-30 days to ship from their location in China. That's the one drawback. I didn't get mine until yesterday, and I ordered on 9/15. But it's all very "Apple-esque," and very high quality, especially the Smart Cover I found.

So if you're on the market for iOS accessories and don't mind waiting a week or three for shipping, you can really get some steep discounts with quality products there.

No, I'm not being paid. No, I'm not a shill for the company. But I do love a good deal, and one of my mottos in life is, "Never pay retail."

If you're like me, go take a look. You might be surprised.

I've just recently seen these online. Have any of you used them on your devices? Pros? Cons?

Also, Monoprice sometimes has a few accessories for cheap. We've also ordered cheap accessories from HD Accessory several times. Shipping is pretty fast and prices are low. Quality isn't the best, but everything I've bought on that site has lasted me longer than I think my money paid for.

I've used them on my iPhone 6 and my iPad Mini 2

Pros: On my iPad Mini 2 there is literally no noticeable difference unless you're pressing the home button. You can feel a small ridge. Nothing unpleasing in any way. It provides excellent protection along with the back-case and its almost unnoticeable.

Cons: None

Pros: On my iPhone 6 it provided greater protection to the front screen.

Cons: On my iPhone 6 it was definitely noticeable, didn't cover the entire screen and was shaped funny. I did not like it at all and the ridge coupled with the beveled edge of the iPhone 6 made it annoying to me personally. I removed it shortly after putting it on.

Thanks. I would have been using it on a 6....think I'll stay away.

Or maybe that particular brand just didn't have a good fit. I will say they have saved our family a few cracked screens. The peace of mind is worth a tiny added thickness to me.

I got the one I use because I have a small crack in my screen on the very side of my phone. It is outside the actual usable screen, so doesn't affect the phone at all. I could feel it though when I touched that area. I got the tempered glass to create an unbroken surface. Has worked like a charm.

I'm a married male iwith only a wife and a chihuahua who works in an office environment. I am careful with my devices and the children part of the equation isn't an issue for me. As a result I'm able to focus on selfishly first world, nerd-like issues such as tactile experience, response, form and function.

On top of that, in my post you'll notice I used the word personally at least once. Indicating other folks' mileage may vary. Just giving my perspective Brochacho. You obviously have other issues that are important to you. I can definitely appreciate it.
