Problem with a Galaxy S7 Active not charging past 70%

So this just started happening. My GF's phone will charge all the way to 70% but not a percentage point more.

It hits 70%, drops to 69% , and starts charging till 70% then quits again.

Anybody ever run into this and if so how is it fixed?

Battery and charging problems in general are among the most common problems with any battery operated device. Just swap out the charger and battery....... no, wait......

Wiping cache seems to be the fix.

Thanks guys. Wiping the cache did work. I just followed the instructions in your link and it's at 100% now.


Chalk up another victory to the tech board. (Or Reddit if you want to get technical in the tech board)

download battery HD and let it calibrate your battery
