Portable Short Wave Radio

Anyone have a portable short wave radio they use? I'm looking at this one....

Before internet streaming this is what I used to keep up with the Tigers and Saints when I lived in Cleveland.

Has SSB and runs on AAA if needed.
Looks nice. Good reviews.
If I didn't have my ham radios on my desk or needed something portable I would seriously consider this.
I say go for it.

Check out the 880. A bit more cash, but a better receiver too.

You may also want to look into an SDR. The vhf/hf dongles are around $90 and all you need is a pc for some decent HF reception.

I looked at the 880 and it's impressive, no doubt. Just didn't want to spend that much money on a portable receiver. Kinda dipping my toe back into radio after being away for quite a while and plan to spend more on a desktop receiver.

ETA: Seems that the PL600 audio isn't the best in the world but there's a mod that helps the audio quality on the receiver. Hopefully that won't be an issue.
