Oven won't heat

My oven won't heat--this includes both the broiler (on top) and the heating element on the bottom. I smell gas when I turn it on. Convection fan works as does the smaller oven attached next to it.
Any suggestions? It's only about 4 years old and worked fine 2 days ago

Check the igniter. Maybe something spilled on it and it needs to be cleaned.

Will do cad. It is weird to me because I'd think there would be 2 different lighters (one for top and one for bottom)
I removed the bottom panel. The igniter is not turning on. I can light it manually and the oven works fine

if there are 2 igniters not working that seems to indicate some type of electrical problem in getting juice to the starter.
maybe there's a blown fuse or short in the wiring..i don't know a whole lot about gas ranges..i kinda plug them in and go.
i am forever spilling stuff on my range top that prevents the igniter from working temporarily which is why i thought this might be something similar.

I replaced the igniter in my oven last year for less than $15 and about 30 minutes of my time. I would try that before paying someone to come out.

thought about doing that (and still may). i just find it weird that both would go out at the same time which makes me think it could be something else.

seriously coater. these things are NOT rocket science at all. do this:
A. google search for your oven model & this problem to see if others have had this happen and what they did.
B. unscrew the back (unplugged of course) and just take a quick peek to see if anything looks out of place.
These ovens are not much different than a $30 coleman portable propane camp stove. its just an igniter, gas line and some kind of ignition switch controlled electrically.
very very simple design.

Thanks for the pep talk
I'll go ahead and order a couple parts and try to knock it out myself

Do you have a volt meter? Before ordering new starters you could make sure they are getting juice, and if not then backtrack to fuses or something else.

I've had this problem in the past. We had mice at the time and one had chewed through a wire inside the back. Easy fix.
