New Home Network Equipment Review - Netgear X6 + Cable Modem SB6183

Just wanted to give a quick review on some new home network gear I got today.
I got the Netgear x6 Tri-band router as well as the Motorola Surfboard 183 Docsis 3 cable modem.
First off, the surfboard is replacing the twc docsis 3 modem that I'm currently leasing and out of the box I am now getting consistant speeds of between 350Mbps and 390Mbps and around 10-17ms of latency. The one I was leasing average 290-305Mbps and around 35ms of latency. Huge difference. Internet seem snappier as well.
The Netgear x6 Tri-band router I added to the mix has given us a night and day difference. I highly recommend it. The power on this thing has greatly increased wireless coverage in our two story townhome. Every area in the townhome gets coverage. With my old router, we never got coverage in the farthest room(my daughters') and now we are getting around 20Mbps in there.
It's also great because I can dedicate one of the 5Ghz bands to my gaming systems which has helped with game downloads and multi-player.
So overall, I highly recommend both products.

Could I swap this modem with the issued Att modem(that's what I have)?
There wouldn't be a reason where I could only use the att modem they gave me, correct?
