My Wi-Fi on my phone is considerably slower than my Surface

I have a Nexus 6 running the latest software. I used to be able to pull in anywhere between 30-50 mbps, but now, I can only muster 1-5 while my computer gets 40-50.
Is there a setting I messed or what's the deal?

If you have an N or AC router try the 5 GHz connection.
