Quick question. I have my upgrade available now and I see the option for monthly payments of a new phone 30.00 etc or pay the 199.99 for a new phone locked into a 2 year deal. The monthly set up seems like a pretty shitty deal. Am I completely wrong in this?

Verizon Family. I get a 20 percent corporate discount and an additional 50 towards my bill.

I'm not very familiar with how Verizon structures their family plans, but with att, you sign a 2 yr agreement with the newer plans, your bill goes up by $25/month.

Yes, and the newest phones on the next plan are around $25-33 a month, so the 2 year commitment is typically a bit of a better deal, if you want to keep your plan.

And if you haggle with them, you can get the newest phone for under $200.

Power up excel and plug in the various fees and monthly payments. Some people it benefits, some people it hurts.

This. Calculate the two year cost of both and compare

You can get up to $200 off on a 2 yr upgrade. I did it Wednesday, and got the Turbo 2. Just push them about it, you have to do it over the phone be or instore though.
