Im headed to the camp this weekend but the issue is we dont have cable of any sort to watch the game (camp runs on a generator in the middle of the marsh). Is it possible to hook up chromecast to a mobile hotspot, and then have another phone( or the same phone) stream ESPN Watch through Chromecast?

Im going to try tonight but i was wondering if anyone has had any success with this.

I don't see why not. Just FYI, I tethered my phone to my computer to watch the Astros playoff game Monday and used 10 GB of data.

I wouldn't recommend trying to stream through a mobile hotspot if you actually want to watch the game.

We did it last week with zero issues. The picture was fantastic for all but a few very short periods in the game. Phone to tablet, then tablet to TV using micro to regular HDMI.

We did it at work for the Syracuse game and it worked just fine. Used 5.5 GB of data.

I hope you have an unlimited data plan still. If you watched 4+ hours of streaming video you are going to shred data

I watched the first half of last weeks game on my phone (ESPN app)... just checked and it used 599MB. Not sure if watching on phone is full HD though.
