Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - Wired vs. Wireless

Internet provider: Eatel (all fiber), 100 Mpbs download and 50 Mpbs upload speed, guaranteed.
Wireless connection (5 GHz)- 102.48 Mbps with peaks of 107 Mpbs.
Wired connection - 90.42 Mpbs, consistently. Wired connection is maintained through Microsoft Surface Pro docking station.
Both upload speeds top out at 51 or 52 Mpbs. This is using Eatel's Speedtest site and alternating between Microsoft Edge and Opera browsers. Several reboots have been done as well.
I've checked the network driver on my SP4 and no updates are necessary.
Granted, both speeds are more than adequate, however I am curious as to why wireless is faster (in this case) vs. wired? Am I being "limited" by the docking station (rated for up to 1 Gbps)?

On the wired are you using the USB 3.0 version of the USB to Ethernet adapter?
Otherwise its the USB

Surface Dock is 3.0 USB and ethernet port is rated at 1 Gbps. Using Cat-5 cable from wall into Surface Dock. Surface Dock connection is proprietary to Surface Pro 4.

Not sure why I didn't read correctly and saw you were using the dock.
Puzzling for sure, wonder if the dock is limiting the speeds

That is definitely not enough difference that I would worry about it.

Yes, completely agree. Just "aggravating" to me, because I always thought wired would be faster than wireless.

Is your wireless turned off when docking? Even when I plug my laptop into my doc, unless I turn off wireless, my laptop still wants to use wireless even when i have an either net cable plugged in.

Yes, it automatically shuts off and wired connection becomes active.
