Looking to buy an Xbox One. Couple questions...

Where can I get it the cheapest?
Amazon has:
500GB new for $310. No Kinect
$275 refurbished
$400 new 1 TB
Is 500 GB enough?
Do I need the Kinect?
Is it a bad idea to get one that's been refurbished?
Mainly used for Madden and NBA2k

If you're only using it for madden and nba games 500 will be enough. I love mine. Would recommend the kinnect later because some of the features are cool. Buy it new, but you can usually by bundles deals (console and game) for around the same price. I got gears of war with mine.

They are actually fading out the Kenect. Read several inside articles saying games for it were a bust and they are/will stop making games for it.

Amazon will generally be the cheapest. It was when I bought mine. If you're only playing madden and NBA2k then you won't need extra storage. 500 GBs will hold at least 12 games in my experience. Getting extra storage will cost you the same price as it would now anyway, and I doubt you'll need to buy it. No idea on buying refurbished tho, but I wouldn't do it for only $40 difference

I don't blame them for moving on from the kinect, but are they going to market a cheaper device for voice commands? That's the only thing I use my kinect for but it's hard to go back to not having that ability

All of this. Never have used it for a game, but use voice command all the time. The camera is useless to me, but the mic adds a lot of value personally.
