Looking for the best wifi extender

My router won't reach to my game room. Any ideas for the best wifi extender?

I just put a basic netgear one from Amazon in my mom's house. Obviously cuts the speed in half, but works alright

I bought a net gear n300 and have been satisfied.

Had same problem. Read on here to get unifi LR from Amazon. $80. Works perfect

I just looked at the unfi LR. How difficult was it to get setup?

Not too bad. Hooks up to your router. Download their software. That's pretty much it. There is a step by step you tube video to help if needed. My back patio had VERY spotty service. Now I stream TV without buffering.

We have had terrible wifi for about a year now. Could never get it fixed. Well after the house flooded, I ran 750+ feet of cat6 in the house so I have minimal wifi usage.
The point of telling you that was to ask if you were able to run a wire or two to your game room and hook up another router there. That's what I would do. I have a power line adapter that works fine but I don't trust it.
