Hey fellas, shot in the dark here. But can use any help I could get.

I have my Matricom Gbox Q hooked up to my LG 55UB8500. And every 4-5 seconds the screen glitches or stutters. It's weird because the GBox doesn't have these issues on any other TV in the house, but I can use the same HDMI cord and HDMI port for other devices on the TV. (Roku, Xbox One, DVR)

Thoughts/Suggestions? I'm at a loss here

Think there's some settings on the LG I can change up to improve or stop this?

I have the same problem with a 60UF7700 from my Amazon Fire TV. Sorry, I don't have any suggestions as of yet, but I'm researching.

i think we can both narrow it down to the tv then, there has to be a refresh rate setting we can change.

Have you checked your setting for video output on the Matricom? I set mine for 4Kx2K/30Hz? Are you input into one of the HDMI 30Hz inputs or are you input into the HDMI 60Hz input. That can make a difference.

the back of the TV shows all 4 HDMI connections are 4K@60Hz.

i tried changing the Gbox setting from 60Hz to 30Hz to see if there was a noticeable difference. Same issues. I'll playi with it some more.

I have no idea what that is, but I've read the only knock on this TV is that it doesn't handle flash at all.. is this device related to flash?

The GPU in the G-Box doesn't support 2160p/60. It supports 2160p/30 and 2160p/24, but not 60.

fixed it i think.

i changed the gbox to 1080p 24hz and re-ran the picture wizard on the LG. No stuttering or picture blinking for 2-3 hours straight last night.

Just wanted to bump this for Brisketeer. HubbaBubba helped me get it fixed.

Just go to the GBox settings and set the display to 1080p 24hz. The LG TV will then only recognize it as 24hz and stop trying to upscale to 60hz causing the glitching/stuttering. My picture is smooth as butter now.

Thanks again Hubba
