Anyone using this machine for work? Good reviews?

I'm gonna be part of our pilot program to try and switch us to these machines so we have one device. We currently all have a Thinkpad and an iPad. I'm all for it except I don't want to walk around in the field with my laptop.

currently, I'm using a thinkpad x200

bought used.

I've had a few lenovo over the years...but no, not the yoga.

that's a bit bigger than the thinkpad.

the lenovo are pretty decent machines....do you want/need a bigger screen?

I love the transporability of the thinkpad

The yoga is a 12.5 screen so not that big.

The Thinkpad I have now is huge, I think it's the w520 model.

We have these for work. I'm in the field and they gave them to us for the same reason and the only time we use them is when we know for sure we are going to need them. They have gone out and are not that reliable. I stick to using my iPad mini.

Got one for my ex, and I really liked it. Only had a problem with overheating, and they knew about it and fixed it no questions asked

I use a lenovo helix as my daily driver for work.... It is 2 years old and still running like a top.... I expect Win10 will make it a even better.

ETA I'd back pretty much anything business class from lenovo.

I think the helix is what we should get over the yoga.

That's probably true if you are proc intensive.

Although did they make new Helix's? The one I have is from 2013 and I think it was produced before the Haswell chips were released so I suppose it is on Ivy Bridge.

Probably not useful info for many people...it works great for the .NET/WPF/Silverlight stuff I'm getting into at the moment and it is light as hell compared to what I was using.

I've got a Yoga 2. Not a thinkpad, though. Using it right now.

It's a nice little machine. My only complaint is I wish it had more/upgradable RAM, as 4GB of onboard RAM is a bit low, but I got it open box at Micro Center for a hell of a price so I can't complain too much.

I've had a Yoga 2 Pro for a little over a year. I've had a number of issues: wifi, defective storage controller, heat. I will not be buying another.

IIRC, they told my ex that the heat issue was something dealing with the way 8 managed power.

Other than 8, I loved the thing
