Laptop Purchase Suggestions

I need to purchase a new laptop. I have a new program of Windows 7 Professional and Office that I am going to install on the new computer and transfer my other programs such as Quickbooks from my old computer.
So where is the best place to purchase a computer without any software on it? Am I correct that buying a generic computer without any preloaded software from HP, Dell, etc is a good way to go?

I would do some research into the business line of laptops that each manufacturer sells. They typically come with less bs

My only option was buying a generic computer, but I got a good Lenovo yesterday from Best Buy that had everything I was looking for
