I've got a Fire Stick with Kodi. I'm a newbie at this stuff and it has been very frustrating. When selecting a movie, It takes about 30 minutes to find a link that will "work". Even then, buffering and tiling are terrible. My wifi signal shows as "very good".
I have never found a movie that works on Genesis or Phoenix.
Any advice?

easiest thing to do is to install a custom Kodi build such as The Beast or The Royalist. They pre load the most popular addons and I rarely find links that dont work

Genesis sucks, stream all the sources has been more reliable and comes pre-loaded on the beast build. What is your internet speed going into your wifi? I have a 75mb connection and can stream on 3-4 devices at once without any issues, but I also have two different wifi devices to split up the load.

Doesn't know what they were and Genesis was the first thing I read about and clicked on to use.. I guess I'll have to check them out and see if there is a difference.

I do this, don't know if it helps or now but:
Clear cache for Kodi in the manage application screen
Clear cache again in Kodi in the general maintenance tab
Then clear cache in Genesis.

Also, if I know of a movie I want to watch I'll download it to the stick to play it later. Once I watch it, delete it.

I didn't know this was an option. Thanks!

I use Genesis all the time, I just learned that I have to try the 3rd or 4th link to get a good stream.

Makes it easy to watch the 1080p/HD movies. You can even start watching as its downloading, but let it go a good ways before you start.

I believe Genesis updates you in 10% increments of the amount downloaded.

I downloaded one last night that wouldn't stream for more than a few minutes at a time. Thanks!

How does one do that on the Firestick? I don't see a menu option within either Genesis or 1Channel.
