Isn't there supposed to be a new Apple watch coming out?

I want to buy an apple watch today
I thought I read on here that there was fixing to be a new model with WiFi. But on 9-5 they're saying apple is just going to announce os 2
Should I wait in case the price goes down if a new one comes out or should I want one with WiFi?

I don't think it will be released anytime real soon. Will be next year sometime.

There's no new Apple Watch coming out this year. The current watch can connect to an iPhone via wifi so you stay connected if you're out of bluetooth range but it doesn't connect to wifi on it's own.

Oh cool. I was wondering if WiFi was absolutely necessary
