Is there a way for someone to read your texts on an iPhone?

Without seeing it on your actual phone?
I know my sister's bf downloaded some shite on her android phone and was getting all her texts in his email
Does iPhone have that?

If you use Imessage and have an ipad or whatever they will show up on that device as well. They dont have to look at your phone, just the tablet.

Oh yeah my mom does that to my little sister. Do you just have to set your phone number up under send/receive?
I swear my bf is reading my texts. And I only have apps on the front page so there's no hidden app tucked away among them
Plus I have a 6 digit code for my work and it locks automatically. But I always use my thumb. So I'm just being paranoid right?

Just turn-off iMessage on all your other Apple products - iPad and Mac. That way your texts won't ever show up anywhere except your iPhone.
The best way to protect your privacy is to use a different iCloud login for your iPhone and all your other Apple devices. By doing that you ensure that stuff that is stored in iCloud such as your messages, contacts, pictures, open browser tabs etc. don't show up on other devices where you are not around them.

Set a trap for him to find out for sure.

Good idea. Thank you. I'll do that

as mentioned, if iMessage, make sure it is turned off on the other devices, or at least not synced with your phone number (or iCloud address if you use that instead).
I guess the new family sharing thing helps with this, but having separate accounts means the devices can no longer sync with each other. For the normal, non-paranoid people without trust issues, this is a good thing. Only buy apps once, bookmarks are synced, webpages are synced, mail, etc.
If you are trying to hide something from the BF, use a separate app. There's plenty to keep those private messages, private.

Heck yeah - access to the iMessage account gives you all that. You can be on a different continent than the iPhone, baw.

What makes you think that...any chance you are in fact being a little paranoid?

Guilty..wife at home on the iPad, me at Barley Oak getting texts from a married friend that I ninja poofed on when two drunk chicks creeped up on us..
Thank God i was the one being called out for ditching him....my only hurdle was convincing the wife it was harmless and nothing would have happened. I can't imagine had he left me and started texting me about bedding down with the two drunkies
