I switched from Directv to Xfinity a few months back (awesome by the way..never thought I'd say that). I have all of the apps for my ios and everything works as advertised. What I'm wondering is will it work when I am on the other side of the world? I know Netflix won't and some other apps/websites are censored so I was wondering if anyone knew.

my wife is in Europe right now, and she logs onto the DVR/On Demand through Chrome with the Hola VPN extension.

Its super easy to install and select country. I was able to watch the pacquiao/mayweather fight because I claimed to be from one of the countries in which it was streamed for free

No. I can't watch TV from work but I can access my DVR.
Also the android app updated a few days back that supposedly provides access to some TV remotely.
At home I can watch anything on tv on any screen with a Chromecast using it.
eta so to recap, X1 app will allow you to watch TV ANYWHERE on ANY SCREEN in your house. if you're not on your home network, its hit or miss what it will allow you to view due to agreements with the different networks, etc.
eta2 with watchespn, DIsney to GO and HBOGO, i can watch anything on those networks anywhere and they have native chromecast option. they just use my comcast login info.
eta3 i'm sure there are probably other 'network tv' apps out there that work with comcast login but i haven't had the desire to look them up. someone must have a list.

I think you have to be connected to your home network to watch tv anywhere.
You can access/watch your DVR though.
