My wife downloaded and installed an app her friend sent her. It appears to be some sort of malware. The app is called Ever.

When you hold the icon down to get the x to remove it, you only get the option to share the app. Also don't have the option to delete in the settings-usage area.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is it a 6s or 7? If so, then it has 3D Touch. Make sure you're not pressing down on the screen at all when you hold the icon down. Just rest your finger on it.

Also, you can only install apps from the App Store on iOS. Is her phone jail broken?

Yea friend of mine downloaded the app when it was sent to him, and it sent a text to everyone of his contacts (including me)to open the link to view his pictures or something like that.I realized what it was and didn`t open it.

I guess you could try a system restore if you have done one on a desktop.

I'm with colorchanging, sounds like she is 3d touching it.

Hold a touch on another app and they should all start shaking and see the X to delete all of them. If it shows something similar to the share on the App you are talking about, you are pushing down too hard and 3D touching again.

That's exactly it. I just downloaded it and deleted it right away.

This could be a big deal if it is accessing contacts without permission and then sending texts automatically. This isn't supposed to be able to happen.

I hear the Locate My iPhone feature is pretty flawed too. Some guy I know, his wife left her phone in Wal-Mart or something and someone took it. He said it was really unreliable when trying to locate it. Poor guy drove around for hours and no dice.

I might still get an iPhone tho

I lost my iPhone in the golf course and it was dark by the time I realized it. I was able to find it in the dark with the Find My IPhone
