I have a 3rd generation in great shape that I could sell and use the money to buy an Ipad Mini 2.

I've read the comparisons but I was hoping for hands on comparisons. I could also spend the extra and get the Mini 4.

How do the two minis compare to the ipad 3rd generation?

Message me at your medical rep at yahoo. I would be interested in buying your ipad.

iPad Mini 2 is the exact same spec as the iPad Mini 3, only there's no TouchID. They left off the sapphire home button. Otherwise they are identical pieces of hardware.

The Form Factor for me has been brilliant IMO. Just perfect. I really encourage you to head into an Apple Store and compare for yourself though.

The Mini 4 has a much better display than prior Minis. Google it.

I'm already aware and I concede that. But spec wise the Mini 2 is a nice tablet that isn't gonna slow down anytime soon. It's essentially a 2nd gen device from the most recent in a sense.

Sorry, my comment was intended for the OP.

I considered buying an earlier Mini at one time, but I couldn't wrap my head around paying Apple a premium for a subpar display. I ended up getting one of those junky $50 Amazon Fires, which has a really awful display, but they refunded my money and let me keep it when I tried to return it. For free, it's OK.
