Can someone help out here

Someone in my office updated their phone and its now stuck on this screen...

is there anyway to fix this? Any way to restart the phone and make this go away? She is wanting to just give up and get a new phone, but is there anything she can do to get out of this? the phone allows her to turn off and turn back on, but when she does that it just goes back to this screen...

iPhone 4 does not support iOS 9, although the 4s does, but I would think it just wouldn't install if that were the problem so it's probably a 4s. The picture you showed seems to indicate you should connect to iTunes. It might be a situation where there isn't enough free space on the phone to do the update by wifi.

May possibly be a 4s, i'll ask and find out....I do know she does not use her ITunes account, so I don't think she has that....but would she have to connect it to her computer and attempt to create one to unlock this?

I've never experienced this nor did I do any research on it, but that picture you posted is as plain as day, connect to iTunes. A ton of people had space issues upgrading to iOS8 and had to go through iTunes to do it, so it seems likely that's what's happening here. She'll need to install iTunes on her computer and connect her iPhone to install the update.

Plug it in to iTunes. She probably needs to put it in DFU mode. Hold down the power button and the home button while it's plugged in for about 10 seconds. iTunes should take care of it from there.

I got a 4s but I'm having the exact same problem. Mine is stuck in the "slide to upgrade" screen, but won't let me slide over. I've tried plugging it into my computer and that did nothing. I've tried to to do a hard restart and that did nothing. So I'm going to the ATT store first thing this morning and see if they can help
