8.x.x has rendered many older iPads nearly unusable. Anyone with experience on this latest update?

Yes it was in part geared to speed up older units and by most accounts helped. I noticed a speed up on my 3 but don't have a 2 so I can't say.

I'll try when I get home. I updated to 8.1.1 last weekend from 7 something. Needless to say I was pissed off

I haven't updated to 8.1.2 yet--but since I did the 8.1.1 update both my iPhone 5S & ipad 3 will not sync wireless to iTunes. Anyone else have this problem?

I think it was 8.1.2 that finally brought me back from the edge. Was about to drop several hundo on an iPad Mini 2...The old iPad 2 16GB was a paperweight...

But the most recent update before the last one was seeded to the general public restored my faith in humanity...and my tablet.

I haven't updated my iPad 2 to 8.1.2 yet, but 8.1.1 was a bit of an improvement.

You know, I can't see any difference in what anything over 6.x.x gets you on the iPad. If we could downgrade at least back to 7, would do it in a flash.

We have 4 iPads in the house... 2 at 8.1.1. One is unusable. Mine is still ok, but I only have like 2 apps other than stock and about 14G free of the 16G.

Others are 7.1.2 and still rock.
