Here is a little background information. I'm currently running two fire boxes with Netflix, Hulu, PS Vue, Kodi and I'm also a Amazon Prime member.

I am thinking about switching to DTV NOW but I'm torn of what free device to get. The apple tv or the fire stick. I am leaning towards the fire stick because I am an amazon prime member but I'm sure the apple tv is better in streaming and not buffering. decisions decisions. TIA

If it's between those two only, Apple TV all day. I've heard the sticks are pretty laggy.

It sounds like you may not need either. Why don't you get the Apple TV and sell it or give it as a gift for Christmas?

This really is a no brainer and shouldn't be up for discussion

I was thinking about doing that also. You want to buy one...

This is what I'll do when mine comes in. I really wish the FireTV was an option instead of the apple tv. The FireTV is much faster and lags less than the stick.
