I'm sure this topic has been posted several times, but what are some good indoor antennas? I've googled but I'd like feedback from someone that actually has one.

just get a regular antenna. HD antennas are a waste of money for the most part.

I do hear people say good things about the Leaf antennas though

this website can help you pick, but I am not sure I trust it.

btw, i have been pretty happy with the leaf. You have to play around with it, but I get almost all my channels wihtout dropping. eta: I live in an older brick home with plaster walls.

you can also buy just rabbit ears but the leaf seems to work better.

An antenna is an antenna. There is no such thing as a digital antenna or an HD antenna.

The biggest contributor to getting a satisfactory signal is the sensitivity of the tuner you're using. Cheaper TV sets will generally not perform as well as more expensive models when connected to an antenna. Cable or satellite connections will work fine with cheaper receivers.

An amplified OTA antenna may compensate somewhat for a cheap tuner.

Just get one and put it on the roof of your house.

Or if possible, in the attic. I have a MOHU sky antenna attic mounted & although it's very small & weighs next to nothing, is fantastic. I'm getting 100% signal on 3 channels over 25 miles away, low 70% on another 47 miles in the opposite direction & all others in between.

I have the Leaf 50. According to the website I should catch 32 channels. I'm getting zero. Not really sure what the issue is.

That's a very good antenna & something is very wrong. Call MOHU & talk to them directly.

I have the MOHU Leaf, ran coax up the wall and mounted in the attic. Works great.

what really matters is how you position it, the distance you are from the towers, how many times you plan on splitting the signal, and how far of a run you have from the antenna
