HP Pavillion x360

I've recently purchased an HP Pavillion x360 laptop. It is making a crackling sound when placed in the standard laptop position. The sound goes away when rotated into a tablet. I ran a quick google search and found a number of users experiencing the same problem. I tried a few of the "solutions" with no luck. It does not seem to be coming from the speakers. More so from the insides of the computer.

Anyone else experience something similar and have a solution? I plan on returning it this evening if no luck as it is rather annoying when in a silent room.
