Is it possible to use a Bluetooth speaker on iPad while connected to a projector thru HDMI. The speaker works by itself, but when the iPad is connected to the projector it doesn't. Is there additional hardware I need?

My iPad/iPhone won't allow multiple Bluetooth connections for speakers, but if I'm using my Apple Wireless (Bluetooth) Keyboard, either device will allow both peripherals to operate at the same time.

I'm wondering if that's because my keyboard was/is made by Apple.

Sounds like your HDMI is taking over the audio portion..In Windows you would just disable the HDMI audio and enable it over blutooth..It may not push to both..
