How to fix Grey side bars on LCD TV?

Have a Samsung LCD 7100 and this week the tv screen has been displaying grey side bars. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Its very distracting.

there should be an aspect button on the remote. push it a few times and it should go away.

Yea i dont see that button. I messed with some different functions and now my remote wont turn the channels. It was turning volume up and down and tv on and off so it is working. Then i tried to reset the remote using the functions and now the volume wont work. Each thing i do to try to fix it, just makes it work. I really hate technology some times.
