6s here. As long as a cellphone works I'm good with it. Not seeking social approval to brag about owning the latest and greatest and enjoy spending money on other things and not padding the profits of a woke corporation.

4 years. S10+.

I don't want to upgrade, but since Samsung promised 4 years of security updates and 3 years of software updates for phones in 2019, I won't be getting any more security updates (final one was last month) and I'm maxed out at android 12.

I feel I got my money's worth and I'll have to upgrade soon.

Pheewwwww, galaxy s9+, not sure. Want to upgrade but I have a grandfathered 30+ year old unlimited plan and to keep it I've had to pay full price for my phones. I used to turn my safety points at work into a card and get one. Dont know what to get. Won't be ijunk fo sho

1 year on current phone. I usually upgrade when the battery life gets unbearable.

8 months with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, only because my 3 year old Note 9 randomly bricked itself. I was really hoping to keep that phone for a couple more years.

Just spent $63 last month getting a new battery installed ($13 for battery off Amazon, $50 installation as I don't trust myself not to screw it up). Much cheaper than a new phone and I have a 100% battery now.

ETA: Am on Sis and BIL family plan who live in DFW so it would be a PITA for me to switch phones anyway. BIL can't remember passwords so they'd have to take new phone into store location to verify ID before AT&T would swap phone activation.

iPhone Xs

Released on 9/21/2018 and purchased on the day of release.

I replaced my battery over two years ago, and it's almost time to do it again, which I won't do this time around.

I'll buy a new phone later this year. If I can get 5 years of out my new phone again, I'll be doing good. I don't see a reason to upgrade every year.

I have a Galaxy A50

After a quick google search, it's now 3 years old and the little brother of the Galaxy S series. Don't care though, it does everything I need it to

It's cheap and plenty adequate for my needs. I know that's basic but I don't need a phone with crazy fast processing power for what I use it for

Rounding into year 3 on my 12 Pro. Usually get 4-5 years out of them, but like another poster I push them until the battery no longer holds up, but now I have chargers everywhere so I should be able to go a little longer this time.

Battery healthy is currently at 90% after 2 1/2 years

That used to be me...until I experienced an ecosystem where everything just works in lock step and experienced a phone that never crashes and apps that work.

Yea I won't be going back to Android.

Just upgraded from the iPhone 11 to the 14pro. ATT offers an $800 rebate when trading in an 11 or newer. My phone was really starting to lag and that rebate was around the same price I paid new. The only downside is you only get the credit if you do the 36 month term but we have had Att for years and don’t see us changing carriers anytime soon.
