How do I setup voicemail on an iPhone 5?

I got a new work phone and need to set up the voicemail greeting. I haven't had to do this in forever and cannot figure it out for the life of me.

Go to the phone--->voicemail--->look at top left hand corner and click on "greeting"

Yeah but it's not there. When I go to voicemail it just dials to voicemail and doesn't allow me to set a greeting.

Maybe your work doesn't pay for voicemail service?
