This thing has been in the bottom right corner of my screen since yesterday and I can't close it. The worst part is that it makes a little beep noise constantly. I tried deleting McAfee but it wouldn't let me. My pc came with this pre installed, I don't think I really need it and don't want to pay for it.

is it loading in startup?
run msconfig
run msconfig

run through your program list to see if Mcafee installed in more than one spot. Some of them break out the harassment crap so it pops up even when the program in uninstalled.
As the previous poster said, run msconfig and deselect that shite at startup.

I use Revo Uninstaller and it gets rid of everything associated with a program

I figured out how to uninstall it. Pretty sure I don't need it.

I sure as hell hope Gary Johnson beats him out at the libertarian convention.

John McAfee doesn't have anything to do with the product any longer. It's owned and operated by Intel now.

You don't need an antivirus program?

Not one that keep spamming annoying pop ups. I still have the windows firewall so that's something at least. I can find another free program.

You realize if you renew that the pop ups will stop right?
Pretty much all the paid antivirus programs do that to remind you to renew.

Nobody needs to pay for anti-virus software anymore with as good as Windows Defender is now. I run it along with Malwarebytes Anti-malware scan once a week, of which Malwarebytes is also free. If you are paying for anti-virus software you are a dumbass!!!!

McAfee and Norton are notorious for the harassment pop ups. Sure others warn of the expiration but not anything like those two knuckleheads.
