What's the best way to hook up TV for tailgating? How? Tools? Etc.

I bought that at Best Buy. I hook my iPhone up to my tv and put on the Watch ESPN app. I also have unlimited data on my iPhone so that helps.

I have no problems with signal or anything else.

Down side is you lose access to your phone but you're tailgating anyways so enjoy the cold beer and good company.

Eta: I hook my tv up to my generator. I run an extension cord for my iPhone to plug in so it can charge at the same time.

I bought a HD antenna from wal mart for around 20 dollars. I get a crystal clear HD signal for all of the network channels. Downside is that I can't get ESPN, but I may look into getting what the guy above me posted.

Obviously, the TV is powered by a generator. I use a Honda EU2000

We've started using Watchespn for games not on local stations and Gameday. For local station games we use an HD antenna. It's worked great for every game this season. For the watchespn app we stream from the phone to the TV using a chromecast. Be cautious of data usage, mine has been running over 1GB per hour, and if you don't have unlimited data it adds up quickly. For the generator I use the Ryobi 2200 from Home Depot. I picked up for less than half the price of the Honda EU2000. It's just as quiet and it has given me zero problems in 3 years of use.

We finally took the plunge and bought a legit setup for this year.

It started with a 3300W pure sine wave inverter generator from Kipor from Amazon. From there, it was the current Generation Tailgater setup, from DISH, along with the pay-as-you-go sports tiers so that we only have to pay for programming during football season.

We use my Lasko Fan, tables my Dad and I own and bring out there already, a tent we bought ages ago, and then my 40" LCD TV from my bedroom at home.

It's outstanding.

We spent just over $1,000 for the Generator and the Tailgater setup. Works like a charm.
