So my mother still uses her home phone and for the last week lots of calls to me and other people she makes are not going through and many calls I make to her are not going through. Att came by her house and looked and said there was no problem, do any of you have any idea what the issue could be? Thanks

I had never had a single problem with a land line until a few months ago when we stopped receiving calls.
It took forever to get in touch with AT&T for service. First dude fixed it by doing something with the box outside and messing with the nearest "switch" a few blocks away.
Then it died a few days later, and he would never get back by to look at it despite saying he would. (I had his cell number)
I finally scheduled another guy through AT&T, and he replaced the outdoor box and got it going. This all took about a damned month, and of course I paid for "service" during that time.
I was really tempted to drop the land line like most others have done. I think they are trying to run off that business.

Thanks for the advice I'll tell her to ask him that. She has a cell phone and I really have no idea why she still has a landline

If she has Uverse internet tell her to unplug her modem for 5-10 minutes and plug it back in.
