My wife has quit her job to consult/ do freelance marketing and graphic design work along with stay at home some more. I just bought a Dell 4k monitor to run dual monitors with her Mac Book Pro, any other suggestions for home office based working? Obviously we have the printer/ scanner, etc. Just things that you wouldn't normally think of or anything that really helps outside of the box?

File and battery backup and possibly file storage if you have a lot of clip art, etc.

I would get another monitor, same size. Having 2 different sized monitors makes me cringe.

Then you can tuck away the laptop and run a keyboard and such. Give it the desktop feel.

Comfortable chair.

The more it feels like an office and not home, the easier it will be to work.

I agree on the 2 monitors that's the exact reason I got a new 4k one for her. We had one monitor and she used her laptop as the second but I agree completely 2 same sized monitors feel so much more comfortable to me.

I had one at my previous job for almost two years. Its a fantastic concept, especially on those days where you find yourself just dragging. Standing up is wonderful.
