Help me shop for a new TV

I don't need a smart TV though. I want a TV that won't have dead pixel or is too fricking sensitive. Yes I do have media and gaming devices. I have bought expensive TV that turned out less than stellars. I have gotten some that turned out great.
I am just looking for a good brand where the TV won't burn out fast or the color look funky. My last one was a sony bravia.

Well, by your stated "needs" there are tons to choose from 
Size? Price range? Want to go with a 4K one?
And outside of the cheap arse brands, idk really know of any tvs that just have weird color. You just gotta get the settings right
Samsung is my preference for higher $, Vizio is great if your looking to save a little

my last one fit exactly at 46 ish or so. So anything from there to 55 is good.
