HELP! Just installed Cox Mini Box

In my bedroom and now I only get "basic cable" channels. When I had it plugged in from the wall straight to the TV via coaxial cable I had a bunch of channels including ESPN, Spike, etc. Now I just get those bullshite free channels like if I had bunny ears on the TV.

did you call cox 337-232-6323 will transfer over to the 800 number. they have support 24/7
you might need to get them to register the device or something with an update?

Call the automated number and have them refresh the signal. Whenever you get new equipment, that's typically the last step to get it fully operational.

I just did the online chat with customer service but it was no help. The guy told me my options are going to a store and exchanging the mini box OR getting a tech to come check it out but it would cost me $ bc I self installed (which irks me because why should I get penalized for saving Cox time and $ by doing it myself).

speak to someone else.
i have had them send out a new box via mail for free and installed myself.. then in the box they sent used it to ship back the old box..
tell me you can't go in to a store and if they will send you a new box with a return label to return the defective box.
they always work with me like that

Thanks Beau ... I live 2 minutes away from one of the stores ... I'll just go swap it out whenever I feel like watching King of Queens again before bed.
