Has anyone been to a HackerX event?

Received an invite for this. I'm guessing that they looked at my linked in profile to decide to issue an invite. Apparently companies pay to get face time with some developers for recruitment purpose for a few hours. Just curious if anyone knows what the atmosphere of one of these is like.

Googling them shows a Quora link with some reviews. Several comparisons to tinder and speed dating in the reviews, but mostly positive.
I got one today, too. I can't imagine there's that many local companies showing at this thing - half the people would recognize each other here!
