It works just fine on my tv in the bedroom but not on the main tv in my living room, living room tv barely gets a signal and no audio, The living room tv is in an entertainment center and is hooked up to a cox cable box (not the mini box and not the dvr)

The bedroom tv is only hooked up to analog cable. .

Any troubleshooting tips? Should I get some sort of wifi booster? If so, what should I get?

I have a metal roof if that matters. I couldn't get the bedroom tv to work with an indoor hd antenna either.

Streaming stick (although I love roku) hasnt been good in my opinion. The boxes rock.

We have a steaming stick in our daughter's bedroom. The wifi signal in there was weak so I got a booster and that helped improve streaming. Now, she's watching Disney Jr and Nick Jr so she doesn't care if the quality is the best so I set it to 720p. But a booster did help I our situation. On the Roku menu you can check the strength of the signal. Take a look at that.

You've spent thousands of dollars on your entertainment center in the living room and then try to use a $39 wireless stick for your streaming video. Buy a Fire TV or Roku 3 with a wired ethernet connection and your troubles will be over.

If I get a wired Roku 3, how does it split between it and the cable box?

Isn't your cable company router located near the main TV? If so, just connect your Roku to it with an ethernet patch cable. You have more than one ethernet jack on the router.
