GoPro vs. Sony action cam AS. Sway me in one direction.

I came in to best but to get a hero 3, white/silver/or black. WSnt sure which way to go. Now I'm considering the sonys as well. They seem to be comparable and for 100 more have a remote that you can watch what you are filming in real time.
The remote may be the deciding factor for me if it's a toss up but I'd rather make my decision on the camera alone.
So would you guys and gals recommend a gopro or sony? And which model would you go with from the respective brand?

The camera will be mounted to the wing of a plane sometimes but for the most part will be attached to a helmet or dash of the plane.

Seems like you're already swayed. Go with your gut. I have GoPro Hero3. Awesomeness. Got videos of me in the water with sharks in the Bahamas.

I think the go pro is a better camera but now I'm reading that the stabilization of the Sony is better. Which would be better for filming while flying.

It's black, and I don't record long periods of time so I couldn't tell you how long it records. Seems like it would depend on your resolution settings as to how much you can store, plus the size of your memory card. I use a 32 GB card.
It is so simple to operate that my 7 year old uses it. He puts it on his helmet for wakeboarding, takes underwater videos with his friends, and straps it to his chest when he's skateboarding. No parent required.
One item I wish they would come out with is a waterproof wristband that acts as a remote. That would be great to have when using it on the front of the wakeboard.

You should go and watch the footage of people using the gopro in highly turbulent areas. Here is a really good one for you.

Awesome. The remote with the (in real time) monitor for the Sony is water proof. I don't necessarily need that for flying but it woldbe nice to have.
