Galaxy s6 Edge

Got mine in yesterday. Pros: super snappy, a lot faster then my s5 active. Gorilla glass front and back makes it feel durable. The curved edges are not at all a distraction. The screen is awesome looking, really crisp. Wireless charging! The camera is really awesome, lots of features that are useful.
Cons: it's really light compared to the other galaxies. Seems like I could drop it easily. The price is high, really high. I'm sure there are more, but I'm still discovering new things.
Anyone else planning on getting an s6 or the edge?

I plan on getting the S6 but trying to hold out for the S6 active if they make one. Rumors I've heard is that it could be mid summer. Just hope my old S3 can make it that long. I've had it for 2 1/2 years. Still works good but the battery is dying out.

I've had mine for about a week now. I like it a lot so far and pretty much echo the same things you say. I picked up a Sigen slim case and that should cover me for any drops. Keep in mind that a thick case may hinder the wireless charging and Samsung Pay should you choose to use it. The edge screen is a bit gimmicky but I like it so far. I sacrifice some processing speed to use the power saving mode. The battery is fine but I wanted to see how much power I save with it on. The ultra saving is a nice mode to have when you have that late night where you need to squeeze out some extra juice.

I may be picking one up tomorrow at full price (still on VZW unlimited plan). Is the Edge worth the extra money? I tend to be an early adopter of technology but I just cant see the utility in the curved edge as of now.

For a $100 I think it is worth it to play with and see how it matures. If you can't blow a hunnit right now it isn't a big deal to worry about.

I went with the edge simply because it's unlike any other phone out there right now. Probably overall not worth the extra $100 until they come out with more development of edge specific uses but the price didn't matter to me. Overall definitely like it a lot compared to my Nex5. I notice just occasional lag issues but they are minimal and for the most part this phone is very snappy. the camera is great too.

I pre ordered the S6 in white and gold. Unfortunately, I have to wait until May 1 to receive them (backorder for gold). I called today to see if the white would ship today separately and they said since both phones were placed on 1 order, they would ship together. That is some bullshite

I preordered gold as well and mine is expected to ship 5/17.
Like the poster above, I also have the S3 and it's been giving me some issues for a while now, so hoping it can hold out.
I did the research on the regular and edge versions, and aside from a few functionality items (like the side blinking in colors if certain people call and the phone is face down), they're essentially the same phone. If the diff was $50, fine, but not worth the hundred.
And protective cases for the regular will probably be a lot easier to find because more will sell.

Same as papa just wanted a phone that separated itself from the field and it did. Lot of comments about it over the weekend..love it!
